The Clinic Waive Lab Technician schedules lab appointments in the computer. Will be responsible for scheduling tests ordered by the physician and precerting procedures with the patient’s insurance company. Must be familiar with medical necessity and checking E-Care for insurance eligibility. Clinic Lab Coordinator will work closely with the RN, LPN & Medical Assistants in answering telephones, checking messages, cleaning up exam rooms, draw blood for laboratory test and be familiar with CLIA wave testing. Bachelors or advanced degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or related field.  Some experience in institutional dietary service would be helpful.  Membership in the American Dietetic Association and State Association is required.  Licensed Dietitian by the State of Illinois is mandated.

The Dietary Aide assists with patient tray assembly for breakfast, lunch, or supper as scheduled.  Each assigned position is responsible for following a standard patient menu and providing foods as indicated on the menu or as diet allows.  The assigned workstation is dismantled, cleaned, and restocked after each tray line and ready for the next meal.  The Dietary Aide is responsible for the dish room detail including ware washing from patient meals, Cafeteria, special functions, and various areas of the Dietary department.  In Addition to daily cleaning of assigned areas, additional cleaning is regularly performed by the Dietary Aide and an essential element of their regular job functions.  The Dietary aide reports directly to the Director of Dietary Services and is accountable to the Supervisor, patients, families, visitors, and other hospital staff.  Following and supporting the Hospital Mission is a critical aspect of responsibility for the Dietary Aide.

The Hospice Registered Nurse has the responsibility for the following:  Completes all required patient assessments timely and accurately; completes discharge instructions or transfer information completely and accurately; completes all documentation accurately and timely; directs and assists non-licensed personnel; provides appropriate comfort measures and pain management; demonstrates knowledge of all wellness and disease management issues; administers medications accurately and timely; demonstrates competency in patient care procedures and use of pertinent equipment and supplies; executes accurate order entry, transcription of orders and signs off orders; provides patient education; initiates and up dates patient plan of care; and promotes and assures patient safety.  The Hospice Nurse will provide holistic patient care in compliance with standards of professional nursing practice in a respectful, safe, individualized manner.  Assists hospice patient through their journey to the expected outcome.  Acts as a resource for patients, physicians, hospital, and other agencies concerning hospice philosophy, palliative care, and pain management.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.  Current State of Illinois registered nurse license, current CPR certification and any other certification appropriate to specialty required.

The Unit Clerk has responsibility for the following:  services as a receptionist in a welcoming manner; assists in answering patient call lights; maintains the chart and all chart forms; performs all required clerical functions; executes accurate order entry and transcription of orders; notifies the Nurse/Charge Nurse of any new or changes physician orders; completes all supply orders; and promotes and assures patient safety.

Needs to be a High school graduate or GED equivalent.  Requires working knowledge of medical terminology, experience with computers and current CPR certification.
