Environmental Services Aide-6560

Primary Duties: Cleans and maintains hospital in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition, according to established procedures. This includes disposing of trash, medical waste, and soiled linens, as well as dusting high vents, TV’s, cabinets, and other furnishings. It also includes cleaning and polishing mirrors, glass, and stainless steel, as well as mopping floors and stairs and vacuuming. The environmental aide also replaces soiled shower or cubicle curtains, cleans elevators, water fountains and coke machines. They also spot clean walls, doors and windows as needed.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Must have good reading and writing skills and capable of following oral/written instructions. Previous housekeeping experience in a health care facility would be beneficial. Housekeeping certification is optional.
