Cardiac Chat

If you or a family member are experiencing congestive heart failure, or any other heart-related issues, you are invited to join “Cardiac Chat.” It is our belief that the support of others contributes to longevity and well being.

To Feel Good From Your Head to Your Feet, Keep a Healthy Heart Beat.

At “Cardiac Chat” our goal is for members to learn the skills that help manage your condition and improve your quality of life and help with some of your basic needs as a heart patient. Our team consists of staff from various departments in the hospital who will be on hand to help answer any of your questions, such as:

  • Lifestyle modifications, including dietary and weight management, exercise and conserving energy, smoking cessation and reduction of excess fluids
  • Pharmacological information
  • Providing information on outside resources that are available to you.

Our Goal

Our goal is to help you learn more about your disease, learn the skills that help manage your condition, and improve your quality of life.

We will answer any question you may have regarding your diet, nutrition, exercise, or understanding medicines and treatments.

We hope to address such diverse topics as:

  • Keeping fit
  • Dining out on a low sodium diet
  • Financial planning
  • Spiritual wellness
  • …and much more!

You may want to invite your spouse or support person to attend with you.
