Kayla Olsen
About
Kayla is a Certified Athletic Trainer and has been working with at IVCH/St. Margaret’s Health since September 2006. She graduated from Aurora University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree, concentrated in Athletic Training. During school, Kayla completed clinical rotations in various sports at both high school and collegiate levels.
Since working at IVCH/St. Margaret’s Health, Kayla has started the Medical Wellness Program and the Athletic Performance Enhancement Program. In August 2014, Kayla started the IVCH Concussion Management Clinic in order to have a local resource for athletes who have sustained concussions. Kayla’s main focus is athletic training clinical outreach to area high schools and IVCC which includes injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation. Kayla is an advocate for the safety and wellbeing of athletes at all levels of competition and you will frequently see her on the sideline of events at IVCC, Putnam County High School and LP High School.
Kayla is a lifelong resident of the Illinois Valley. She enjoys reading, watching sports, especially volleyball which she played in college, working out, boating with her husband and farming with her family.
