Primary Duties:

Interviews patients, representatives and reviews information from other departments and edits or updates accounts with information if needed. Thorough understanding of statement cycle, collection events, collection letters, mail or any other correspondence such as explanation of benefits, and adjustment batches.  Utilizes approved Internet websites to help in collection of balances and keep updated on governmental and other agency rules and regulations.   Understands provider based billing and hospital collection policy and guidelines and discusses with patient or representative as needed.  Thorough knowledge of SSI electronic claims system, and Meditech BAR, PBR, APR, and PWM modules.  Maintains current information of billing procedures, including but not limited to, proper claim forms, appeals, bundled or late charges, non-covered and denied charges, non billable charges, advance beneficiary notices, and overpayments, according to government or other agencies and their regulations.  Maintains integrity of accounts according to those rules and regulations.

Education Requirements:

High school graduate or GED equivalent. Requires typing and computer skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and good interpersonal skills.  Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD10, CPT coding, Medical terminology, and hospital or physician office billing helpful.

Environmental Services Aide 8754

Primary Duties:

Cleans and maintains hospital in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition, according to established procedures. This includes disposing of trash, medical waste, and soiled linens, as well as dusting high vents, TV’s, cabinets, and other furnishings.  It also includes cleaning and polishing mirrors, glass, and stainless steel, as well as mopping floors and stairs and vacuuming.  The environmental aide also replaces soiled shower or cubicle curtains, cleans elevators, water fountains and coke machines.  They also spot clean walls, doors and windows as needed.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED preferred. Must have good reading and writing skills and capable of following oral/written instructions.  Previous housekeeping experience in a health care facility would be beneficial.  Housekeeping certification is optional.

Maintenance Mechanic 8744

Primary Duties:

Performs preventative maintenance and repairs mechanical equipment and machines. Maintains building structure and fixed equipment.  Assists with grounds as needed.  Participates in developing methods to prevent recurring electrical and structural problems.  Reads and interprets blue prints or specifications related to building structure and equipment.

Education Requirements:

High school graduate or GED equivalent. Requires working knowledge of mechanics and building trades.  Prefer trade school graduate.  Valid Driver’s License is required.  Minimum 5 years experience in related field.

Auxiliary Scholarship

The Auxiliary  is sponsoring their scholarships for 2019.  Two ($1,000) from the Auxiliary and one ($1,000) from the Janyce Stuckert Memorial Scholarship Fund. Applications can be picked up Switchboard, the Gift Shop or call (815) 664-1130 to have an application emailed or mailed. Applicants MUST be currently enrolled in the actual medical program to be considered for these scholarships.
