Oversees and maintains all plant life on the hospital grounds, providing a neat and attractive appearance and safe environment. This includes planting new grass and plants, application of proper weed control chemicals, and maintaining all grounds related equipment. In addition, the groundskeeper is responsible for snow and ice removal, transporting mail, and repairing outdoor furniture.
High school graduate or GED equivalent. Three years of previous yard work experience preferred and preference will be given to individuals who possess course work in horticultural subjects. Valid Driver’s License is required.
Interprets and transcribes technical medical data from physicians and other health care professionals, regarding patient assessment, workup, therapeutic procedures, clinical course diagnosis, prognosis, etc.
High School graduate or GED equivalent with courses in typing. Prefer additional courses in anatomy, or equivalent, physiology, medical terminology and word processing and prior medical transcription experience. Must complete a medical transcription-typing test with 80% accuracy. Requires ability to type 60 words per minute. Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) preferred but not required.
The Ultrasound Technologist uses high frequency sound waves to perform scans of particular organs or vessels to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The technologist prepares the room and equipment, utilizes accepted settings to capture the images, and evaluates the images for diagnostic qualities. The Ultrasound Technologist needs to assist with invasive procedures utilizing the guidance of ultrasound.
Associates Degree in a medical field required. Prefer previous medical background and experience in ultrasound. Registered ultrasound technologist preferred.
The CNA, under the supervision of the Nurse, has responsibility for the following: accurately takes vital signs; observes and reports patient response to care; promotes and assures adequate fluid balance; performs specimen collection; provides hygiene and comfort measures; promotes and assures patient activity; promotes and assures adequate nutrition; performs patient care procedures competently; utilizes pertinent equipment and supplies competently; completes all documentation accurately and timely; and promotes and assures patient safety.
The Unit Clerk has responsibility for the following: services as a receptionist in a welcoming manner; assists in answering patient call lights; maintains the chart and all chart forms; performs all required clerical functions; executes accurate order entry and transcription of orders; notifies the Nurse/Charge Nurse of any new or changes physician orders; completes all supply orders; and promotes and assures patient safety.
High school graduate or GED equivalent. Requires nurse aide and current CPR certification.
To provide transportation services of patients, the elderly, the disabled and other passengers in need of transportation to access health care. In doing so, staff will escort ambulatory passengers on and off the vehicle, transport and secure wheel chair passengers, and assist passengers with transportation needs from “door to door”. Para-Transit drivers are directed by the Director of Transportation.
High school graduate or GED equivalent. Must possess good driving record and be at least 25 years of age, for insurance purposes. Must hold a current valid State of Illinois Driver’s License.
